Verena von Lichtenberg exhibits in Roscoff; she has devoted herself to painting. The works of this renowned artist invite viewers on an extraordinary journey through the depth of her vanishing lines
The Horizons of Verena von Lichtenberg – Roscoff
Verena von Lichtenberg grew up in Germany in a family environment that encouraged drawing and painting. Naturally, she chose to pursue graphic studies, influenced by Otto Wagner, Wassily Kandinsky and Miró. Her extensive education in architecture and urban planning led her to work alongside personalities such as Norman Foster, Jean Nouvel and Roland Castro. Yet she ultimately devoted herself to painting.
For the month of July, the artist has hung around thirty paintings at the Groupe Tranchant Casino. These works invite visitors on an extraordinary journey, with their gaze turned toward the horizon. She carries, captivates and transports her audience toward pleasure through the depth of her perspective. Whether in colour or black and white, the works of this recognized artist (currently exhibiting in Biarritz, Saint-Malo, La Rochelle, Les Sables-d’Olonne and Pornichet) are well worth discovering.
Exhibition until July 31 at the casino, ZA de Bloscon. Admission reserved (from 10 a.m.) for adults presenting valid identification. Tel. +33 (0)2 98 69 75 84. Contact: Verena von Lichtenberg, Tel. +33 (0)6 74 58 56 46.

Journalist: We are now going to Roscoff and welcoming Verena, painter. Hello Verena, what will we discover in Roscoff?
Verena von Lichtenberg: Hello. Yes, I am a painter, and my canvases depict the sea; the sea that lies between sky and earth.
My research is a quest for depth, hope, gentleness, and luminosity, inviting the viewer on an extraordinary journey through the use of perspective and vanishing lines.
Most of my works are painted in warm tones of orange and blue.
Like many painters, I worked first in figurative representation.
Then the need to express the essential and to allow the viewer the pleasure of creating their own journey led me toward abstraction.
Journalist: So your exhibition is currently in Roscoff. Where exactly and until when?
Verena von Lichtenberg: Part of the HORIZON exhibition is presented until the end of November at the Roscoff Casino as part of a major exhibition taking place along the Atlantic coast from Saint-Malo to Biarritz, across around twelve cities.
Journalist: How do you manage that? Are you permanently present at the exhibition?
Verena von Lichtenberg: I am certainly there at the beginning and at the end of the exhibition, and I also visit during the exhibition period whenever possible.
Journalist: In which part of the Casino are you exhibiting?
Verena von Lichtenberg: In the restaurant.
Journalist: Very good. We should not forget that visitors must be adults to enter a casino. What are your next stops?
Verena von Lichtenberg: The Saint-Malo exhibition begins on October 1st, and the others currently taking place are in Pornichet, La Rochelle, La Roche-sur-Yon, and Biarritz.
Journalist: It is difficult to talk about painting on the radio.
Verena von Lichtenberg: Listeners can also visit my website to get an idea of my work. The address is: www.verenavonlichtenberg.com.
Journalist: Excellent idea, but I am not sure everyone had time to write down your address. I suggest that Stéphanie calls you back to note it properly. Our listeners, who know the France Bleu telephone number almost by heart, can call us or visit our website. Thank you very much, Verena, and have a wonderful day.
Verena von Lichtenberg: Thank you very much to you as well.
